Chorasan Musictherapy Camp
Welcome to the Chorasan Music Therapy Camp. For four days, we will immerse ourselves together in the world of oriental music and therapy. Instruction on all instruments of oriental music therapy and the theoretical and practical foundations of this more than thousand-year-old method will be provided.
You will be carefully guided by Ilyas and his international Team to provide you with the deepest and most authentic insights into the oriental fine arts and their therapeutic and spiritual dimensions.
Education
The "Training Camps" are part of the Chorasan Music-Therapy Education Program and are included for the students of the program.
However, we open the Camps to anyone interested in gaining a deeper knowledge into this old Tradition of Oriental Therapy. It's possible to book each Camp individual.
Oriental Music Therapy is a well-documented system used for therapeutic and preventative health treatment for over a thousand years.
Since the 9th century, this therapy has been used as an auxiliary discipline of Islamic medicine in hospitals throughout the Orient.
Our training program does not qualify participants to use the professional title "Music Therapist" in Austria. This is a non-state-authorized continuing education program without a recognized official qualification. In Austria, the profession of Music Therapist can only be taught and authorized by state-approved training institutions.
Daily Schedule
of the 4 days Chorasan Musictherapy Camp:
We divide each day in different workshop sessions, with different themes and focus.

A three hour Morning Session for Preparation, Makam Study, Concept of Oriental Musictherapy, Musical spiritual foundations
- A four hour Afternoon Part focused on instrumental practice, traditional dance & Movement, practical exercises and demonstrations

Instruments and voice Practice
In the Chorasan Musictherapy we use a variety of different Instruments. The most important Instruments are Ney, Oud and Rebab.
Then we also have the Instruments Dombra Kilkopuz and Ceng. Also important is the rhythm Instrument Bendir ( Framedrum).
The use of the voice is an integral part of oriental Musictherapy. We believe in a natural development of the voice, when you start to release your mental, emotional and physical imprints. Like the breath the voice has not to be trained and formed - more important is to develop an inner connection with the exact methods, then the voice, your real voice will appear slowly from alone.
Ilyas and his Team
G.Ilyas Klawatsch is a traditional oriental Musictherapist and comes from a lineage of 6 Tarikats (Lineages) of Sufism. He spent 23 years with Master Dr. Rahmi Oruç Güvenç. Ilyas maintains a non-dogmatic, free and tolerant approach to Sufism and Musictherapy. He works as Musictherapiest with neurological ill children and cancer Patients.
Ignacio Musa Bejar make musictherapy with Sufi Music. Is composer , Multi Instrumentalist and international musician,
Roman Murad Buder is a sculptor, musician, and music therapist. He studied with Rahmi Oruc Güvenc, Neyzen Ömer Erdugdular, and his master Niyazi Sayin.
Davood Saharkhiz is an in Austria living Iranian musician. He plays and teach Setar, Tanbur and Daf.

We provide people with the necessary information, knowledge, technique and emotional and spiritual food to grow and develop on their own spiritual and musical journey.
Our students are professional musicians and also absolute beginners.
No previous experience is required, only the wish and desire to learn and dive in this old Tradition and soundworld of the Orient.
